When the recession hit foundation investment portfolios, grantmaking practices had to be adjusted. Many foundations, unable to make as many grants as before, are using Training and Technical Assistance as a means of continuing to provide support for their grantees. Highview offers specialized expertise for small foundations – rural community foundations, small private foundations, etc. We know how to work with tight budgets and foundations with little or no staff support.

On this page you'll find details of our grantee training model, which enables all of your grantees to participate in a Web-based training program to help them become more self-sufficient in raising awareness, raising funds, attracting new members, and promoting their programs and services.

You'll find several skilled consultants able to deliver such programs. The "Highview Difference" is a program we call "PR PRO to GO." If you underwrite one of our grantee training programs, then for the duration of that program – typically four to eight weeks – I become the personal, day-to-day PR consultant to you and to every one of your participating grantees. This means you and each of your grantees has a highly seasoned, friendly, accessible PR and communications professional "on retainer," at no cost whatsoever.

You and all of your grantees can call on me at any time to discuss specific communications issues. As long as the topic falls within the scope of our course, I'll devote as much time to each individual as needed to help you and your grantees achieve their goals.  This is a level of personal service that goes way beyond what any webinar or workshop can deliver.
